This certification, effective July 2, 2007, means that professional engineers in Maryland are required to include the following additional certification when signing and sealing plans, specifications, drawings, reports, or other documents:
Professional Certification. I hereby certify that these documents
were prepared or approved by me, and that I am a duly licensed
professional engineer under the laws of the State of Maryland.
License No. ____________, Expiration Date: _______________
The titleblock, certification, seal and signature should appear close to each other. This additional certification is intended to promote awareness among Maryland professional engineers regarding the status of their professional engineers' license and reduce the occurrences of practicing with an expired license.
We've set the text above to be easily readable in a 1" x 3-1/4" area. The 'License No." and "Expiration Date:" areas can be included in the stamp imprint or left blank (as shown) for you to fill them in by hand. You can select to have the stamp(s) made as a pre-inked, self-inking, or traditional hand stamp. Pocket stamps are also available.
